Mino Raiola, the football super-agent who dealt with high profile clients, including Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba, has reportedly died aged 54. As per reports, Raiola, who also represented Zlatan Ibrahimovic, was going through illness which eventually became the reason for his death. Earlier this year, his official Twitter account confirmed that he had undergone surgery after being hospitalized, although the nature of his illness was not revealed.
"Mino Raiola is undergoing regular medical checks that require anaesthesia. All was planned, and no emergency surgery happened", the tweet read. Haaland, Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were Raiola's most prominent clients, and he was central in many of the trio's blockbuster transfers.
Mino started his agency career with Sports Promotions. Bryan Roy, Dennis Bergkamp, and Michel Kreek were among those who profited from his service. He made his name moving players from the Netherlands to Italy, thanks to his links to both countries and became one of the biggest names in football.
He had a reputation for doing the very best for players, which is why he'd often ruffle the feathers of fans who supported the club he was trying to move them from and was clearly an excellent and shrewd businessman.
