Ever since Virat Kohli announced his decision to step down from Test captaincy, reactions from around the globe have poured in. From former cricketers to his teammates, everyone congratulated Virat Kohli for a successful seven year-stint as a Test captain. But a cricketer who has always credited Virat Kohli for his successful career did not post a message for three days which was surprising for a few people. Nonetheless, Mohammad Siraj has finally penned a message for his ‘superhero’ Virat Kohli.
Kohli’s RCB and India teammate, Siraj took to Instagram to thank his ‘captain King Kohli’ for believing in him. Siraj posted a picture with the former captain and wrote a beautiful captain which read, “To my superhero, I cannot be thankful enough for the support and the encouragement that I got from you. You have always been my great brother. Thank you for trusting me and believing in me for all these years. For seeing the great at my worst. You will always be my captain King Kohli”.

I am blessed to have an elder brother like you: Siraj for Kohli
Mohammed Siraj has never shied away from thanking Virat Kohli for supporting him. The Hyderabad cricketer also calls Kohli his ‘elder brother’. On his 33rd birthday, Siraj had posted a small video for Kohli and had written, “Not everyone is as lucky as me to be blessed with an elder brother like you. Thank you so much for coming into my life and standing by my side through thick and thin. I hope you get all that you truly deserve. Happy Birthday king”.
Virat Kohli is no more India’s captain
After Virat Kohli announced his resignation from Test captaincy, he lost the leadership role in all three formats. He had already lost captaincy in white-ball cricket (resigned from T20I and sacked from ODI) and Rohit Sharma replaced him. Now, Virat Kohli will play purely as a batsman. It may feel weird for his fans to not see him leading the Men in Blue but they will still be able to see him on the field representing his country.
