MS Dhoni-led CSK to start camp from March 11 in Chennai ahead of IPL 2021: Reports

After a forgettable IPL season last year where they had finished at the seventh spot, the three-time champions would be aiming to give their best this season and regain the lost legacy.

According to reports, IPL side Chennai Super Kings are all set to start their camp for the upcoming edition of the mega event from March 11. Notably, skipper MS Dhoni will be a part of the camp from the very first day. After a forgettable IPL season last year where they had finished at the seventh spot, the three-time champions would be aiming to give their best this season and regain the lost legacy. Though the schedule of the 2021 edition of the IPL has not been revealed yet, it is more likely to take place between April and May.

Chennai Super Kings' new signings:

In a bid to boost their squad, CSK have included some new players at the IPL 2021 Auction. The players are Krishnappa Gowtham (INR 9.25 crore), Moeen Ali (INR 7 crore), Cheteshwar Pujara (INR 50 lakh), K Bhagath Varma (INR 20 lakh), C Hari Nishaanth (INR 20 lakh) and M Harisankar Reddy (INR 20 lakh). Notably, the side has also traded Robin Uthappa from Rajasthan Royals.

MS Dhoni in IPL 2020:

Dhoni, who has played had a record 204 matches in IPL so far, has scored 4632 runs at an average of 40.99. However, the recent edition of the mega event was not as fascinating for the legendary cricketer as he could score just 200 runs across the 14 games he played.
