Mahendra Singh Dhoni may not be the official captain of the Chennai Super Kings anymore. However, that hasn't stopped him from being the leader of the team. In fact, Dhoni was seen taking some key decisions during the Lucknow Super Giants innings in IPL 2022.

Although Ravindra Jadeja has been named the CSK skipper, it was Dhoni who was seen setting the field for the Men in Yellow as they tried to defend their total of 210/7. The pictures of MSD guiding the fielders from the match has surfaced on the internet.

Apart from his contribution in the field in terms of strategy, Dhoni has also been in fine form with the bat this year. While he completed a fine half-century in the tournament opener against Kolkata Knight Riders, he was in great nick in this game, playing his finisher's role to perfection and scoring an unbeaten 16 from 6 deliveries.
