Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's parents have been tested positive for COVID-19 and are admitted to Pulse Super Specialty Hospital in Ranchi. As per inputs, MS Dhoni's father Pan Singh and his mother Devika Devi are currently undergoing treatment.

Official Statement from Pulse Superspeciality Hospital

Pulse Superspeciality Hospital informed that the oxygen level of Dhoni's parents is stable. “Parents of cricketer MS Dhoni have been admitted here at the hospital after testing positive for COVID19. Their oxygen level is stable,” said the hospital while providing an update.

Dhoni had spent time with his family after the conclusion of IPL 2020 in the UAE as he didn't play any competitive matches before IPL. Dhoni joined CSK camp as early as March as he oversaw and led a training group with domestic players in Chennai.

Meanwhile, World Cup-winning Team India skipper Dhoni is currently in Mumbai where he is participating in the ongoing IPL 2021. The veteran wicket-keeper batsman is leading the three-time winners who have won their previous two games against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals.

CSK are currently placed third  in the IPL 2021 points table. Dhoni will be in action on Wednesday evening against two-time winners Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
