Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has narrated a hilarious incident of himself involving Sachin Tendulkar in a recent video uploaded on his Youtube channel. The Rawalpindi Express shared an incident where he was once partying with Akhtar in Lucknow and decided to lift the Master Blaster off his feet. However, Tendulkar slipped and fell.

Akhtar narrated the story in a video following a chat format. Indian content creators including the likes of Tanmay Bhatt and Zakir Khan were part of the panel and shared their fanboy moments and incidents of Akhtar before the ex-Pakistani cricketer shared some of his stories. Here is what he shared about the Tendulkar incident.

"I went up to Sachin Tendulkar and told him, let me carry you on my shoulder. He is small in height so I thought it would be easy. But as soon as I picked him up, he slipped," Akhtar said adding that both Pakistan and India players were part of the party in Lucknow.

However, when Akhtar asked Tendulkar he was okay, the legendary batter came up with an epic response by saying: "Mujhe injury hoti toh India waale tere ko zinda jala dete" which loosely translates to "Indian fans would have set you up on fire, had I sustained an injury."

The story left the entire panel in splits.

Notably, both Akhar and Tendulkar shared a great rivalry on the field but displayed camaraderie off it. Akhtar continues to maintain that Tendulkar is the greatest batter in world cricket while the former batter has also been in praise for one of the world's fastest bowlers.

The tense political and cross-border situation between the two nations of India and Pakistan have not allowed for a bilateral cricket series between the cricket-crazy counties. Both teams meet only in ICC events and they last met at the T20 World Cup in UAE. On that occasion, it was the Men in Green who had the upper hand, handing India a 10-wicket defeat, to register their first-ever victory against the arch-rivals in a World Cup game.
