With the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) done and dusted, Indian cricketers are enjoying their leisure time by involving in different activities. Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma is also enjoying his break. He chose to visit schools in his free time to relive the memories from his childhood. Sharma shared a picture from a classroom and captioned it “Back to School”.

The picture got quite a few likes and comments. Sharma’s fans were happy to see him enjoying and relaxing after a tough IPL outing with Mumbai. Meanwhile, his franchise left a sarcastic comment on the post that drew attention. Mumbai Indians inquired Rohit whether he was at the school as a teacher or as a student. “As a teacher or as a student,” wrote MI in the comment section of Rohit’s post.

Rohit’s forgettable IPL outing

Talking about the Indian skipper’s performance in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), it was a forgettable season for both Mumbai Indians and Rohit Sharma. While MI finished their season as the wooden-spooners of IPL 2022, Sharma could aggregate only 268 runs in 14 matches. The MI opener also failed to get a half-century. Rohit’s highest score in IPL 2022 was 48.

The Mumbai cricketer will now look to overcome this lean patch when he is back in action. He has plenty of time to work on things as Rohit will not be taking part in the India vs South Africa T20I series. He will directly fly to England for the fifth rescheduled Test from last year, a three-match T20I series, and a three-match ODI series against England.

Rohit will have the big responsibility and opportunity at the same time to create history by winning a Test series against England in England. Post the Test match, the Indian skipper will look to form the core for the T20 World Cup squad.
