The Indian Premier League is going to get more exciting from next season onwards, with two new franchises set to make it a 10-team extravaganza. Lucknow and Ahmedabad have already started their preparations for next season and it seems like Rajasthan Royals are leaving no stones unturned to welcome the new entrants with open arms.

Recently, Lucknow confirmed that Andy Flower is set to be their head coach and the social admin of RR, who never fails to come up with funny and cheeky posts around anything in IPL, certainly seized on the opportunity and greeted the Zimbabwean coach with a hilarious tweet.

The franchise shared an image of Andy Flower with a hilarious caption which stated, “Muskuraiye, aap Lucknow mein hai” which is a very famous line associated with the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The smiling picture of Lucknow head coach is indeed like a cherry on top of the cake.

Meanwhile, Andy Flower also expressed his delight on joining the Lucknow franchise for IPL 2022. He said, “I am incredibly excited to be joining the new Lucknow franchise and I am very grateful for the opportunity.”

“Since my very first tour to India in 1993, I have always loved touring, playing and coaching in India. The passion for cricket in India is unrivalled and it is a real privilege to lead an IPL franchise and I am looking forward to working closely with Dr Goenka and the Lucknow team,” Flower added.

The 53-year-old claimed that he will relish the challenge to build something meaningful and successful with the Lucknow franchise and is looking forward to meeting the management and staff when he visits Uttar Pradesh in the New Year.
