Former IPL chairman Lalit Modi has made a surprising revelation about dating Bollywood actor and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. Modi, who is widely regarded as the brain behind Indian Premier League and was the first chairman and commissioner of the T20 tournament, made the announcement on Thursday by posting a series of pictures on Twitter.

While making the news public, Lalit Modi informed that he is excited to start a new beginning of his life with his better half i.e. Sushmita Sen. He wrote, “Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families - not to mention my #better looking partner @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon (sic).”

Terming the Bollywood actress his 'better half,' Lalit Modi shared a number of pictures of them together and stated that they have just completed a tour of the Maldives. He further stated that he is looking forward to starting a 'new life' once he returns to London. '

Earlier, Sushmita Sen shared her own pictures while spending time at Maldives but gave no hint on the fact that she was with Lalit Modi. She recently announced her break-up with model and actor Rohman via an Instagram post claiming that they both will be friends forever. Speaking of the pair, Sushmita Sen was last seen in first two seasons of the web-series Aarya, streaming on Disney plus Hotstar.

Meanwhile, Lalit Modi is a fugitive at the moment and running away from the country after allegedly committing tax evasion and money-laundering. It was way back in 2018, when Lalit Modi along with other baord members of the BCCI launched the Indian Premier League and Modi was appointed as the first chairman of the league.

Lalit Modi was suspended as chairman and commissioner of IPL in April 2010 after series of allegations were charged on him. In 2013, BCCI's disciplinary committee featuring Arun Jaitley and Jyotiraditya Scindia found Lalit Modi guilty on eight counts, including including financial irregularities, misconduct, indiscipline, and actions detrimental to the interest of the BCCI.
