Gujarat Titans are all set to take on defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the 29th match of the Indian Premier League. The clash between both teams will be the second match of the day that is scheduled to take place at 7:30 PM at MCA Stadium in Pune. Gujarat Titans are currently placed at the top of the points table, whereas Chennai Super Kings stand at the ninth spot after winning their maiden game in the ongoing edition against RCB.

Flamboyant Hardik Pandya is leading the Gujarat franchise, while Ravindra Jadeja is the leader of Yellow Army after Dhoni stepped down from the responsibilities couple of days before the start of the tournament. Ahead of the highly-anticipated clash between both the franchise, skipper Hardik Pandya shared a picture of himself standing next to former Indian skipper MS Dhoni and wrote, "My main man."

Notably, Pandya made his international debut under the leadership of MS Dhoni after his brilliant performance for Mumbai Indians. Pandya, who had a huge admiration for Dhoni earlier, shared that he has learned a lot from the former Chennai Super Kings skipper and looking forward to implementing the same during his tenure as Gujarat skipper.

Both the teams are having quite a contrasting run in the league as Chennai Super Kings had to wait long for their maiden win in the tournament and suffered four successive losses earlier. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans started really well by defeating another debutant Lucknow Super Giants, in their first game of the season, and since then have lost only one game out of five played so far.

Hardik has earned a lot of praise from all around for his superb captaincy skills and regaining his fitness. Pandya's potential to bowl four over at his best capacity was a matter of discussion for many ahead of the start of IPL 2022, but the lanky all-rounder shut down his critics by standing tall and delivering quality cricket with bat, ball and fielding as well.
