Whenever there is a talk about the top moments in cricketing history, the 2019 World Cup final between England and New Zealand will always be up there. It was the year England won their maiden ODI World Cup and it has been etched in everyone's memory since then. While it may sound strange that why a country winning the World Cup became one of the historic moments, the one who witnessed will always have the answer.

The win was iconic in many ways. Apart from being England's first title win, the way in which the winner was announced remains historical. It seemed like fate had it written England's name all over the title and so they did get it anyhow. The overthrow that got deflected after hitting Stokes' bat and the last run out, the last one hour of that World Cup final was the most dramatic in the tournament's history.

Everyone was on their toes and were chewing their fingers. Ian Smith, who was in the commentary box alongside former England cricketer Nasser Hussain also had his heart in the mouth looking at the nail-biting contest going on at the Lord's. And with the run-out of Mark Wood, it was decided that both teams will play a super over to decide the winner. But Smith could not believe and his reaction became one of the epic commentary moments.

His commentary of that moment was one to remember forever. "We are going into a super over," Smith exclaimed on air with his hands on his head and his head on the table. And now with him celebrating his 65th birthday on February 28, his fellow commentator at that moment, Nasser Hussain brought a present for him. Hussain got that epic picture framed and gifted it to Smith.

I am quite touched by the whole idea: Ian Smith reacts

Smith also reacted to the special present from Hussain and said he was quite touched by the gesture. "I am quite touched by the whole deal. Well, it's the first and the last, and probably one of the nicest things you have done for not only me but anyone in your whole life. Thank you so much Nasser from the bottom of my heart. It is going to hang very very proudly in my lounge," said Smith to Nasser.
