After his social media answer to a fan question left Twitter in confusion, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has now offered a clarification. Notably, during an Instagram question-and-answer session, Kohli said that he consumes egg white, among other things, in his diet which created confusion as earlier media reports had suggested that he was a vegan. However, with the 32-year-old now offering an explanation, the issue is expected to subside.

Taking to Twitter, Kohli informed his fans that he had never claimed to be a vegan, he said, "I never claimed to be vegan. Always maintained I'm vegetarian. Take a deep breath and eat your Veggies (if you want)." Kohli had answered a lot of interesting questions during this particular Instagram session. When asked about his quarantine routine, the right-handed batsman replied: "Train once a day. Spend time with family. Pretty normal."

Kohli, known for his high standards of fitness, Virat said that his diet mainly comprises of "lots of vegetables, some eggs, 2 cups of coffee, dal, quinoa, lots of spinach, love dosa too." He was quick to add that he consumes all of this in "controlled quantities." Meanwhile, the men's and women's cricket teams are currently in Mumbai and will land in the United Kingdom on June 3. While the Kohli-led men's team are set to play the World Test Championship final against New Zealand followed by five Test matches against England, the women's team will play one Test followed by three ODIs and T20Is each.
