KRAFTON, the company that owns the PUBG IP, has dazzled the gaming world after releasing a teaser of their new title PUBG: New State. While all the gamers round the globe were undoubtedly excited about the news, Indians had to face some unexpected disappointment.

No Pre-Registration for PUBG: New State in India

While the pre-registrations for the new battle royale game got underway, the registrations were unfortunately not available in India.

In a conversation with Sportskeeda Esports, a KRAFTON representative told, “ With KRAFTON doing everything it can to prepare for the launch of a new PUBG app specifically developed and serviced for India, it has decided not to include pre-registration for PUBG: New State in India.”

Notably, PUBG Mobile was banned in India last year under section 69A of Information Technology Act. The South Korean company has reportedly been trying to relaunch the title in the country for over four months. As per reports, they are still awaiting Indian government's consideration and decision on their next plan with PUBG in India.

Considering the present scenario, it looks like that the company’s focus remains on the launch of PUBG Mobile first, which is expected to be the Indian version of the famous battle royale game.

PUBG: New State will be a unique futuristic game

The futuristic battle royale game has been set in the year 2051. It will feature some new vehicles, unique gadgets and an exciting map. Everything is expected to be technology advanced as it will be based in a postmodern world.

The application description of the game on Google Store reads, “Using diverse weapons and tactics, 100 survivors will face off until only one player or team remains standing. With an ever-shrinking Blue Zone, players must find weapons, vehicles, and consumables to gain the upper hand. Only the strongest will emerge as the "Lone Survivor" in this epic showdown.”

PUBG: New State is expected to release in the first week of April, 2021.
