The league stage of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) came to an end with Punjab Kings (PBKS) beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their last league game. Liam Livingstone was yet again up to the task for his team as the Punjab all-rounder scored a quickfire 49* off 22 balls and helped his team end the season on a high.
Livingstone was well aided by Jitesh Sharma who also rocked the stadium with a few lusty blows in the middle. The Punjab wicketkeeper 19 off 7 balls with the help of three fours and a six. Earlier, Jonny Bairstow (23 off 15) started the innings on a high for Punjab. Shikhar Dhawan also played a handy knock of 39 off 32 balls.
For SRH, Abhishek Sharma was yet again impressive with his 43 off 32. Rahul Tripathi (20 off 18), Aiden Markram (221 off 17), Washington Sundar (25 off 19) and Romario Shepherd (26 off 15) combined to power SRH to 157/8 in their 20 overs.
