New Zealand defeated England by 5 wickets in the hard-fought T20 World Cup semi-final in Abu Dhabi. The victorious New Zealand squad celebrated their dramatic victory wildly as they booked their place in the final of the tournament. However, what caught everyone's attention was the way in which New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson reacted after his side scripted a memorable comeback over the tournament favourites.

When Daryl Mitchell hit the winning runs on Wednesday, most of the New Zealand players and support staff celebrated by jumping out of their chairs. While the other players screamed and hugged each other, Williamson was seen sitting on his chair with a content smile on his face.

Meanwhile, Neesham, who played a crucial role in taking New Zealand into the T20 World Cup final, also had an interesting reaction. Neesham showed no emotions on his face while the other players celebrated.

We have another challenge, will change our focus after tonight: Williamson

Williamson had words of praise for man of the match Daryl Mitchell, who played a match-winning knock (72 off 47 balls). Williamson said, “His character stood out today and has done in pretty much every game he’s played for us. It an incredible knock. He hasn’t done it a lot at top of the order. There’s real quality there.”

“We knew it would be a great game of cricket and that was a case. It ebbed and flowed and I’m really chuffed with the heart shown throughout. We know we have another challenge coming up and we’ll change our focus after tonight,” Williamson said in the post-match presentation ceremony.
