Mahmudullah-led Bangladesh is set to take on New Zealand in five-match T20I series, starting Wednesday, September 1. All five matches of the series will take place at a single venue, that is, Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.

After reaching Bangladesh, New Zealand suffered a big blow as Finn Allen tested positive for COVID-19. However, Matt Henry has been called up as Allen’s cover for the T20I series. New Zealand skipper, who happened to have last played a T20I in 2017, said that things won’t be easy for the side with a number of experienced players missing out on the series.
