Star Chennai Super Kings (CSK) spinner Ravindra Jadeja is the 10th player in the list to take most wickets in the IPL. Playing for four different franchises (Rajasthan Royals, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Gujarat Lions and CSK), Jadeja has taken 160 wickets from 240 matches in his IPL career from 2008 to 2024.
9. Jasprit Bumrah - 165 wickets
Star fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah has been a key player for the five-time champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) since his IPL debut in 2013. The right-arm pacer has picked up 165 wickets from 133 matches in his IPL career so far (2013-2024*).
8. Lasith Malinga - 170 wickets
Former fast bowler from Sri Lanka, Lasith Malinga is another name from MI in the list. The right-arm pacer has 170 wickets to his name from 122 matches in his IPL career from 2009 to 2019.
7. Amit Mishra - 174 wickets
Former Indian spinner Amit Mishra has played for four different franchises in his IPL career such as Sunrisers Hyderabad, Deccan Chargers, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants. The leg spinner has taken 174 wickets from 162 matches in his IPL career from 2008 to 2024.
6. Ravichandran Ashwin - 180 wickets
Veteran Indian spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin is the sixth highest-wicket taker in IPL history so far. The off-spinner has taken 180 wickets from 212 matches, playing for five different franchises (Chennai Super Kings, Rising Pune Supergiants, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals) in the IPL from 2009 to 2024.
5. Sunil Narine - 180 wickets
Kolkata Knight Riders star spinner, Sunil Narine draws with R. Ashwin in terms of wickets in IPL. The off spinner has taken 180 scalps from 177 matches in his IPL career (2012-2024).
4. Bhuvneshwar Kumar - 181 wickets
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been among the best fast bowlers to play in the IPL, who has won the Purple Cap in two consecutive years (2016 and 2017). The right-arm pacer has taken 181 wickets from 176 matches in his IPL career playing for Pune Warriors India and Sunrisers Hyderabad from 2011 to 2024.
3. Dwayne Bravo - 183 wickets
The two-time Purple Cap winner, former fast bowler Dwayne Bravo has been a constant performer during his IPL career, playing for three different franchises (Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Lions and Chennai Super Kings). The right-arm pacer has taken 183 wickets from 161 matches in the IPL (2008 - 2022).
2. Piyush Chawla - 192 wickets
Former Indian spinner Piyush Chawla is the second player in the list to take most wickets in the IPL. Playing for Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Rider, Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians, Chawla has taken 192 wickets from 192 matches in the tournament from 2008 to 2024.
1. Yuzvendra Chahal - 205 wickets
Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is the all-time leading wicket-taker in the IPL, and the only bowler to cross the milestone of 200 wickets in the IPL. The leg spinner started his IPL career for Mumbai Indians in 2013, then went on to play for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals. Chahal has taken 205 wickets from 160 matches in his IPL career (2013-2024).
