Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra is quite popular among cricket fans due to his witty one-liners in the commentary box. Chopra also has a personal YouTube channel as well, where he regularly posts his views on the IPL, Indian cricket team matches.

Today, Aakash Chopra tweeted, “100+ metre six should be given an 8,” and suggested providing 8 runs for the batters hitting a 100+ metre six. The tweet was related to the Englishman and Punjab Kings batter Liam Livingstone going bonkers and hitting a 108 meter long six off Mukesh Choudhary’s delivery in the Match 11 of IPL 2022 between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings.

Livingstone finished his sensational innings of 60 off 32 balls and was dismissed by CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja.

The leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal unleashed his witty side once again in a reply to Chopra’s tweet. Chahal replied, “Three dot balls should be 1 wicket bhaiya”. Certainly, if the batters get awarded with 8 runs for hitting a big six, the bowlers should also get their share of working hard to secure important dot balls under their belt, which is crucial in a T20 match. The former CSK and Indian batter Suresh Raina replied with “Haha” to the comment by the leg-spinner.

In June 2021 as well, Aakash Chopra had posted a video titled, 10 Cricket Rules that Should Change, and was of the view of giving 2 runs extra for a 100 metre six.

Aakash Chopra was one of the members of the Hindi commentary panel in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2022 as well. But on April 2, Chopra posted a tweet and gave an update about him getting tested COVID positive.
