Reece James, the captain of Chelsea, sent a heartfelt letter of support to Abhradeep Saha aka Angry Rantman’s family after his untimely passing earlier this month. The 24-year-old called Abhradeep Saha a “true blue” whose passion and commitment to Chelsea shone through, for which he will not be forgotten by the club’s fans and community.

Notably, Abhradeep Saha passed away due to health-related complications suffered after undergoing open heart surgery at the Narayana Cardiac Hospital in Bengaluru last month. On May 5, Chelsea paid a tribute to him at Stamford Bridge during a Premier League game against West Ham United, apart from publishing a few words about him in their informative guide in the build-up to this contest.

The family of Abhradeep Saha took to his Instagram account to share a picture of the heartfelt letter of support sent to them by the Chelsea captain. They wrote a caption with it, which read, “We would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude to Chelsea Football Club London, Reece James, numerous fans and of course, Tom Overand for your support in this tough and trying times. It means a lot to us and will be ever grateful towards your kind gesture.”

The excerpts of the heartfelt letter of support from Reece James to the family of Abhradeep Saha are below:

“Dear Bhaskar & Debika,

On behalf of all the staff and players at Chelsea Football Club, I would like to offer you, your family and friends our most sincere condolences and our thoughts are with you, his brother Soumyadeep, and grandparents Gita and Nina.
