Preview:

India Women lock horns with South Africa Women in the first T20I in Lucknow. This is the first T20I India are playing since their shocking World Cup final loss in Melbourne in 2020. They would be a tad worried about their momentum as they are coming on the back off 1-4 ODI series loss to the Proteas women. If they can fine-tune certain areas, then they would be back to their original form.

South Africa were emphatic in the series and ticked all the boxes in making sure they drub India. Their opening combination has paid rich dividends and Lizelle Lee bagged the Player of the Series award too. Mignon Du Preez and Aneeke Bosch are other star players from South Africa, who have been playing a crucial role in the team’s performances.

Both the teams are evenly poised on paper, ahead of the series. South Africa will have momentum on their side and they will be looking to capitalize on that. An exciting affair is certainly gearing up for us.
