Time: 6:00 PM (IST)

Venue: The Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg

Preview:

After a successful ODI series victory, Pakistan will now face South Africa in the 4-match T20I series. They have more or less the same side apart from a few additions and the replacement of Shadab Khan in the form of Zahid Mahmood. South Africa have a relatively inexperienced side as their main players have left for India for the Indian Premier League.

Pakistan outclassed South Africa in the ODI series and are now the favorites in the T20I series too. It is never easy to win a series in South Africa and this win would boost up their confidence by a large margin. Fakhar Zaman who had bagged the man of the series award will be featuring in the T20I setup too. He scored 193 & 101 in two consecutive games and was duly supported by skipper Babar Azam in the third ODI, who scored 94 runs.

South Africa have to finetune certain loopholes and then they can aim to give tough competition to this resurgent Pakistan side.

Team News

Pakistan:

Shadab Khan is injured and he has been replaced by leg-spinner Zahir Mahmood. However, Fakhar Zaman stages a comeback into the T20I team.

South Africa:

South Africa will be without some of their main players like Quinton De Kock, Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada, David Miller and Lungi Ngidi as they have joined their respective IPL squads. Skipper Temba Bavuma has been ruled out from the four-match T20I series after suffering Grade One hamstring strain and Heinrich Klaasen will lead the side in his absence. Reeza Hendricks and Dwaine Pretorius have also pulled out of the series.
