The 33rd edition of the global sporting spectacle, Paris Olympics 2024, began with a magnificent and a splendid opening ceremony on July 26. Since then the French Capital city, Paris saw several athletes scripting history, breaking previous records and making new ones. The United States arrived in the edition with a contingent of nearly 600 athletes, and look to excel their previous medal haul from Tokyo 2020.
In the previous edition of the Olympics, Team USA won a total of 113 medals, including 39 gold, 41 silver and 33 bronze. It is to be noted that they have broken the 100-medal mark at every edition since Athens 2004. Team USA’s one of the first medals, a silver, at the current edition was won by divers Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook in the women’s springboard 3m synchronised.
