Date: 14thApril 2021

Time: 6:00 PM (IST)

Venue: SuperSport Park, Centurion

Preview

We witnessed some rip-roaring action in the first 2 T20Is and now the action shifts to the third match between South Africa and Pakistan. The venue will now be SuperSport Park in Centurion where Pakistan had earlier won 2 ODIs. Thus, the strong Pakistani team look firm favourites, ahead of this game.

It took the South Africans some character and grit to defeat a strong and aggressive Pakistani team. Even with a second-string team, the South Africans managed to show a lot of teeth and edge past their Pakistani counterparts. George Linde was the star of the show as his all-round display made South Africa win. He picked up 3 wickets and also scored a quick 10-ball 20 runs.

Pakistan’s overdependence on few players hogged the limelight. Mohammad Rizwan broke his streak of 40+ scores (40+ scores in his last 10 innings) and got out for a golden duck. This costed them dearly as the other batsmen except for Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez, looked clueless.

Team News

Pakistan:

Fakhar Zaman had missed the 2nd T20I due to an allergic reaction on his left leg. Thus, Sharjeel Khan was brought into the game. As he failed to be impressive, Zaman would be back if he is 100% fit.

South Africa:

There are no injury updates or news at the moment. We will let you know if there are any. Heinrich Klaasen and George Linde are the players to watch out for.
