Khaleel Ahmed - 5.25 crore to DC

The left-arm pacer has not been in the best of forms in recent seasons and considering youngsters like Chetan Sakariya and Kartik Tyagi went for lesser amounts than him, Khaleel Ahmed's price looks a bit too expensive than what it would have been ideally.

Tim David - 8.25 crore to MI

The 25-year-old has been making lot of noise in world cricket with his explosive batting performances in franchise cricket. Tim David was always going to inflict a bidding war but having not proven himself in IPL so far, the amount paid for him might have been slightly higher than MI would have wanted.

Odean Smith - 6 crore to PBKS

The all-rounder from West Indies caught everyone's attention with his heroics in the India vs West Indies series. However, considering the fact that the sample size of his performances is still quite small, the bid amount was certainly quite high but Odean Smith will indeed be someone to watch out for.

Romario Shepherd - 7.75 crore to SRH

It was probably the most surprising picks of the day despite the incredible potential of Romario Shepherd. Considering the fact that Hyderabad were desperate to get an overseas all-rounder on board, it resulted in the inflated price but he will indeed be someone on whom lot of eyeballs will be there.

David Miller - 3 crore to GT

Although David Miller needs no introduction considering what he has done in IPL in past, the last few seasons have seen a dip in his form. Considering the recency factor, the signing by Gujarat looks a bit overpriced since the left-handed batsman was initially unsold in the auction.
