The five-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) are ready to build another strong squad this season. They have retained five top Indian players in Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma. With this core, MI will look to add a powerful foreign opener, a solid finisher, and an overseas pacer to support Bumrah. 

MI has INR 45 Crore purse remaining for the IPL 2025 mega auction, which is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24-25, 2024. MI is searching for an overseas opener, making him a great fit alongside Rohit Sharma. However, Delhi Capitals might use their Right to Match (RTM) card to retain him, and other teams are also likely to bid for the 22-year-old, his price is expected to reach around INR 10-12 Crore in this bidding war.

2. Trent Boult

Trent Boult showed his true potential with MI in the 2020 season, forming a strong bowling partnership with Jasprit Bumrah and helping MI win the title. With Rajasthan Royals releasing him, MI may aim to bring Boult back. The 35-year-old has played 104 IPL matches and taken 121 wickets. He is a popular choice and could go for around INR 10-12 Crore.

3. Marcus Stoinis

Marcus Stoinis is a powerful all-rounder who can be a great finisher and provide some overs with his medium pace. He has significant IPL experience, with 96 matches, 1,866 runs, and 43 wickets. MI, who values all-rounders, might target him, and his estimated price is around INR 10 Crore.
