The left-arm pacer has been one of the finest pacers to feature New Zealand in international cricket. His consistency across all formats have helped the Kiwi team to progress well and reach the final stages of key tournaments. Earlier this year, he urged NZ cricket board to release him from the contract, so that he can focus on franchise cricket.

However, Boult has agreed to be part of coveted ICC tournaments and big bilateral series going ahead. In the T20 World Cup 2022, the left-arm pacer scalped eight wickets in five games and has been in good form. With fine performances and age on his side, Boult will feature in the next World Cup in 2024.
