It is time for the ultimate showdown as the 5-match T20I series between New Zealand and Australia comes to an end on Sunday. After the Kiwis thrashed Aussies in the initial two matches, they were looking on their way to seal the series comfortably. However, Aaron Finch’s side had other plans as they registered an epic comeback in the next two matches to take the series into a deciding contest.

Bat first, put up a huge total and back it up with good bowling. The series has followed a similar trend throughout the four matches so far. The batsmen have found it fairly challenging to chase the target in New Zealand and it could be a similar case in Wellington on Sunday. Both the captains would want to win the all-important toss and bat first in this high-pressure contest.

For the hosts, Devon Conway has been the most impressive batsmen with 156 runs in 4 matches. While Martin Guptill is also back in form, skipper Williamson has had a fairly disappointing series so far. On the other hand, Kane’s counterpart Aaron Finch has played a crucial role in Kangaroos’ comeback, smashing two consecutive half-centuries in the last two matches.

With so many big players featuring in both the sides, it will be interesting to see who can step up for this all-important series finale. This certainly calls for a thrilling end to what has been a hard-fought series between two extremely competitive sides.
