However, with England in commanding position in the latter half of Day 3, former England captain Kevin Pietersen and Harsha Bhogle, who were part of the commentary panel were seen discussing on switch hits. As the game was closing to stumps on Day 3, a fan quoted KP’s statement when he claimed Bhogle to be speaking “rubbish”.

“It’s 3:25 local times and I’m off downstairs because your talking rubbish,” Kevin Pietersen said on Harsha’s comment which a fan quoted on X (formerly Twitter). Right in time, KP commented on the fan’s post writing, “He was!”.

While Day 3 of India versus England first Test came to a close, Harsha took to X to finally drop a comment at KP’s post, engaging in a friendly banter on X. “Absolute nonsense! If you want to switch hit allow a bowler to bowl with both hands. Because something is difficult, it doesn’t make it acceptable,” Harsha said.

“The bowler has to inform the umpire if he wants to bowl left handed, the batsman must have the same condition. May the debate continue,” Bhogle further added in a hope to continue this debate.
