
Former N ew England Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel Sr. has slammed his ex-coach Bill Belichick by stating he is not the best coach in NFL history. Samuel further justified his comment by addressing how Belichick hasn’t performed without former Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

The Brady - Belichick duo has emerged as one of the most successful QB-coach pairings in the history of the NFL. With these two footballing stalwarts, New England Patriots had 264 wins, out of which 230 were in the regular season while winning six Super Bowls. Hence when asked if Belichick is the best coach in NFL, Asante Samuel adamantly denied it before stating the importance of Tom Brady to his success.
While speaking to CBS Sports, Samuel said, "Absolutely not. Are you crazy? Look at his record without Tom. You gotta win without Tom. One thing I learnt about being great, you got to be great in different situations. It was all Tom. I was there. I saw it. It was Tom. Everybody know it. Tom know it."4

"But he ain't gonna admit it because he want to be politically correct. That's why I'm here. I'mma tell the truth. I've been there. I've seen it. I confronted him, and we've been through it, and that's how I do," he continued.

Further talking about Asante Samuel, the two-time Super Bowl Champ also reacted to the recent prominent issue in the NFL where several top running backs haven’t received lucrative long-term contracts, leaving them angry and underappreciated.
Samuel tweeted addressing the issue and has asked the RBs to push for getting a contract bigger than the San Francisco 49ers star, Christian McCaffrey. He posted, “The running backs argument “I should be making more money than Christian McCaffrey” at 16 mill a yr.”
