Adrian Newey, a renowned figure in the Formula 1, is likely to join Aston Martin, whose official statement will be made at a press conference next week. As per several reports, the announcement will come a week ahead of Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Formula 1 team has reportedly invited media outlets at a press conference at the team’s Silverstone factory on September 10. While no subject for the event has been specified, Newey is expected to sign a contract with Aston Martin during the event.
The development came weeks after Newey left Red Bull earlier this year. As per the F1, he has a total of 23 titles, which include 11 as driver and 12 as constructor. Initially, Ferrari was considered a front runner in signing Newey following his departure from the previous side. Several sources have claimed that team’s part-owner and executive chairman Lawrence Stroll persuaded the legendary F1 designer.

Along with Newey, Aston Martin will have some significant changes in the management and top leadership as former Mercedes engine boss Andy Cowell will officially join the side as group CEO next month while former Ferrari technical director Enrico Cardile will take on the role of chief technical officer.
