Pakistan won their 3rd game in a row in the ongoing T20 WC 2021 after a terrific 5 wicket win against the Afghan side. Afghanistan opted to bat after winning the toss and posted a competitive total of 147/6 on board with the help of decent contributions from Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib in end overs. Pakistan started the chase strongly with 50-run partnership between Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman after the early loss of Rizwan. However, they kept losing wickets continuously in the middle-overs. When 24 runs were needed in the last 2 overs for Pakistan to win, Asif Ali smashed 4 sixes in the 19th over and sealed the game for Pakistan in style.
