After Dwight Howard, Taiwan Pro Teams target Carmelo Anthony, Isaiah Thomas and Enes Kanter: Reports

The NBA 2020 champion Dwight Howard announced on November 7 that he has signed a contract with Taoyuan Leopards of the Taiwanese T1 league. Reportedly, more teams from Taiwan are looking to sign NBA stars like Carmelo Anthony, Isaiah Thomas and Enes Kanter Freedom.

After featuring for the Lakers in the last season, Dwight Howard was a free agent and signed a contract with Taoyuan Leopards.

Recently, reports have emerged that the Taiwanese teams are aiming to sign free agents 30-year-old Enes Freedom and 33-year-old Isaiah Thomas while Carmelo Anthony has been approached by Tainan TSG GhostHawks. Veteran forward Carmelo Anthony last played with Los Angeles Lakers in the last season, on the other hand, point guard Isaiah Thomas featured in the NBA 2021-22 for Charlotte Hornets.

Enes Freedom last played with Boston Celtics in the last season before being traded to the Houston Rockets in February. In his career, the  6-foot-10  Kanter has represented five NBA teams in his career including, Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunders, New York Knicks, Portland Trail Blazers and Boston Celtics.

The 5-foot-9 Thomas played for 10 NBA franchises in his 11-year-long career that includes teams like the Kings, Suns, Celtics, Cavaliers, Lakers, Nuggets, Wizards, Pelicans, Mavericks and Hornets. Isaiah Thomas averaged 8.3 points per game last season while playing 17 games for Charlotte Hornets.

Carmelo Anthony has been a free agent since his contract expired with the Lakers at the end of the last season. The 38-year-old Anthony averaged 13.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game for the Lakers in 69 games last season.
