After Rishabh Pant, a member  of Team India support staff has tested positive for Covid-19. Notably, it is Team India’s throwdown expert Dayananda Garani who has tested positive and has been asked to quarantine. Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, B. Arun (Bowling Coach),  and Abhimanyu Easwaran have also been isolated as they are said to have come in close contact with Dayananda. The four personnel will undergo 10-day isolation and will remain in their respective rooms in the team hotel in London.

As a result, the five, along with Rishabh Pant, would not be traveling with the team to Durham, where the Indian team is scheduled to play two practice games. The first 3 day match vs Select County XI is scheduled for 20th July.

Meanwhile, Pant tested positive for Covid-19 recently and is currently in home isolation. He is staying at his relatives’ place and is likely to join the tour party in Durham at a later stage.

According to sources, the wicketkeeper-batsman experienced a sore throat, which led to a Covid test and it returned positive.
