Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja recalled the night of the IPL 2023 final and cracked a hilarious joke on former captain MS Dhoni. In one of the promotional events of the team, Jadeja revealed that he is one of the few people whom MS Dhoni has lifted. In the final of the IPL 2023, Dhoni lifted Jadeja after the latter played a brilliant knock and guided the side to their fifth IPL win. Jadeja hit one maximum and one boundary and turned an impossible match in their favour.
After Jadeja helped the side to another win, an emotional Dhoni lifted the all-rounder for his heroics. In the 2024 season, during a promotional event, Jadeja recalled the moment and revealed that he might be the only person after Sakshi who the former India captain has lifted. Jadeja joked, “I believe after Sakshi bhabhi, I am the only guy who was lifted by Mahi bhai.”

In the final clash of the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League, Jadeja played a match-winning knock to help the Yellow Army lift their fifth title. CSK beat Gujarat Titans to level Mumbai Indians in terms of their IPL trophies. The 35-year-old scored 15* runs off six balls to help the side defeat the defending champions Gujarat Titans.
Coming back to the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League, CSK began their campaign against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, as the teams engaged in the opening clash. After defeating Faf Du Plessis’ side, Ruturaj Gaikwad-led CSK defeated Gujarat Titans in the second game of 2024.
