The All India Football Federation (AIFF), the governing body of football in India, has given an opportunity to the FIFAe female athletes to represent the country at the FameHerGame Bootcamp for the first time ever in Zurich, Switzerland. The ‘#FameHerGame’ is an initiative from The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), to find women talent in countries like India to promote the sport of football and give them an equal chance to take part in FIFA eSports.

The official Twitter account of AIFF and Indian football teams has posted a detailed tweet with a Google form link for the FIFAe female athletes in India to register for the FameHerGame Bootcamp happening this summer. They also talked about how the Indian boys did the country proud by qualifying for the FIFAe Nations Playoff 2023 to galvanise the girls to achieve big things in the sport in their first-ever appearance this year.

The registrations for the bootcamp end on May 12 at 6 pm IST according to the AIFF statement. Females aged above 16 years are eligible to become FIFAe athletes for India. Also, parental consent will be needed for those who are between the ages of 16-18 during the selection process. Furthermore, the PlayStation console will be a necessary requirement for the FameHerGame Bootcamp.

Notably, the women at the bootcamp for FIFA eSports will get coaching and content creation sessions, in particular. They will also compete against each other to determine which two players will head to Australia and New Zealand to represent the country at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in July and August this year.
