Chennai Super Kings released a tweet earlier this Thursday evening to announce the name of Akash Singh as a replacement for Mukesh Choudhary in their squad. The young 20-year-old left-arm medium-fast bowler has already played one game in the IPL and it so happened to be against Chennai Super Kings for Rajasthan Royals in the 2021 season.

Akash Singh, who played the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup for India in 2020, holds some decent experience of big match situations from his younger days. If Chennai Super Kings decide to draft him into their playing XI during the IPL 2023 season, then it might not prove to be a bad decision after all.

Here is all you need to know about Akash Singh:

Age: 20

DOB: 26 April 2002

Birthplace: Bharatpur, Rajasthan

Role: Bowler

Batting Style: Right-handed Bat
