Alisha Lehmann, the Aston Villa Women forward, has emerged on top of the biggest sports crushes list among women players across the globe. The 24-year-old boasts over 13.3 million followers on Instagram, a platform where she posts her personal content along with her football training videos.
The only other footballer to accompany the Swiss in the top 10 is Alex Morgan of the USA, who got a fifth place on the Google list, with 182,800 searches. One of the most surprising additions to round out the top 10 is the Australian cricketer, Ellyse Perry, who got 117,100 Google searches.
According to research conducted by SpinGenie on Google about women’s sports players, accompanied by the word “hot”, Alisha Lehmann topped the list with 491,000 searches over the last two years. The Swiss star has become one of the most popular women athletes, thanks to her genius on the field as a footballer and the series of snaps posted on Instagram in recent times.
Emma Raducanu, the British tennis star, made it to the second spot in the rankings with 360,630 Google searches, almost 150,000 searches behind Alisha Lehmann. In third place is Camila Giorgi, the Italian tennis star, with 251,400 searches on Google, edging Serena Williams of the USA by the barest of all margins.
