Indian wrestler Aman Sehrawat clinched his quota for the Paris Olympics 2024 Games after winning his semifinal match at the World Olympic Qualifiers in Istanbul, Türkiye. Sehrawat became the first Indian wrestler to secure qualification for the Summer Olympics with a dominant  12-2 victory technical superiority over  North Korea's Han Chong-song.

Earlier he defeated Georgi Valentinov Vangelov (10-4) before taking down Ukraine's Andrii Yatsenko. Aman became the first male and sixth overall Indian Wrestler to advance. Before Sehrawat,  Nisha Dahiya became the fifth Indian women's wrestler to confirm a 2024 Paris Olympics quota after prevailing over her Romanian opponent Alexandra Anghel. The Indian women's wrestler successfully came out on top in her 68kg semifinal bout.

Panghal,  Phogat,  Malik and Reetika secure quota for Paris Olympics '24

Indian female Wrestlers  Antim Panghal,  Vinesh Phogat,  Anshu Malik and Reetika clinched their quota spots for the upcoming Paris Olympics.  Panghal sealed her ticket to the French capital in the women’s 53kg category with a bronze medal at the World Championships last year. 

Whereas the trio of Phogat, Malik and Reetika qualified at the  Asian Olympic Qualifier in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. It was a successful event for India as three out of the five competitors booked their spots for the Summer Games later this year with Mansi and Nisha suffering losses.
