Animal Crossing: New Horizons has become one of the most popular games of its kind, with top-notch popularity. This minimal, easy and simple life simulator gives the players a relaxing getaway and offers an alternative peaceful community life. With the pandemic striking last year, the game saw a surge in usage and popularity, as people were forced to stay indoors.

The game sees the inclusion of a new character named Daisy Mae, who has been found to be wandering around the island. Daisy, an adorable orange boar is seen selling turnips across the island. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, turnips are more of a means of making money rather than a form of food, although they are technically edible.

Who is Daisy Mae? Where to find her?

This adorable little boar, Daisy Mae was introduced as a special guest, who visits the player's island from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m on Sundays. Daisy Mae has taken over her grandmother's job in New Horizons, i.e., to sell turnips to players. However, players can only get to meet her if they have unlocked Nook's Cranny.

In Animal Crossing, turnips aren’t merely a form of food, but rather stocks. It’s advisable to buy them from Daisy at a low price and sell them later at a better price to Timmy and Tommy at Nook's Cranny or Sow Joan's Stalk Market.

The cost price of the turnips can vary from 90 bells to over 100 bells. However, selling turnips is a bit tricky since the selling price can be as low as nine bells and as high as whopping 660 bells. However, price for turnip fluctuate essentially when Mae arrives on the island and when she leaves. Thus players can check back to see if the price for turnips has dropped and make some decent money with their ‘stock’.
