Cricket fraternity in the world was once again left in awe of Suryakumar Yadav's batting abilities as the Indian batter smashed 49-ball century against New Zealand in the 2nd T20I at Bay Oval. The 32-year-old batter remained unbeaten on 111 and propelled India to 191/6 in 1st innings. 

As Suryakumar Yadav notched up his second century of the calendar year, Virat Kohli took to Twitter to laud his teammate.

"Numero Uno shows why he's the best in the world. Didn't watch it live, but I'm sure this was another video game innings by him," tweeted Virat Kohli. Apart from Virat Kohli, the likes of Michael Vaughan, Virendra Sehwag and a few others lauded the effort of the Indian batter. 

Team India was invited to bat first as Kane Williamson won the toss. New Zealand bowler Lockie Ferguson gave an early blow to Team India by dismissing Rishabh Pant in the 6th over of the game. Pant could only contribute with 6 runs in 13 balls. 

However, Suryakumar Yadav played a valiant knock in the middle as the rest of the batter failed to spend much time in the middle. It was Suryakumar Yadav's blistering knock which helped Team India to reach a competitive score. Tim Southee was the star bowler for New Zealand as the pacer picked upa hattrick in the game
