After completing a historic move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo is now nearing his much-awaited debut. Reports say that Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez are reportedly breaking Saudi law, by living together without being married.

The law in Saudi Arabia forbids couples to live in the same house without being married. Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have been together since 2016 but haven’t gotten married yet. As Saudi authorities are known to be extremely strict about their laws, Ronaldo living with his girlfriend can lead to issues for the footballing star.

But some legal experts suggest that Ronaldo may be off the hook. As per Spanish media, Ronaldo is unlikely to be punished as he is a marketable athlete. Two Saudi lawyers spoke about how the authorities would not get involved with Ronaldo and would let him be. One lawyer said, "Although the laws still prohibit cohabitation without a marriage contract, the authorities have begun to turn a blind eye and do not persecute anyone. Of course, these laws are used when there is a problem or a crime."

Another lawyer also made a comment on similar lines as he said, "The Saudi Arabian authorities, today, do not interfere in this matter [in the case of foreigners], but the law continues to prohibit cohabitation outside of marriage."

Talking about Ronaldo’s debut, CR7 is still required to wait for some more time because of his 2-game ban. This ban was allotted to Ronaldo as a punishment for his incident with a teenager during a Premier League game last season and hence Al-Nassr has struggled to register him. Hence fans can expect to see Ronaldo in his new yellow and blue colours on January 22 against Ettifaq.
