The recent poor run of results against Manchester City had made the fans and experts put Arsenal under scrutiny before the high stakes match kicked-off in the heart of North London. But, the recent emergence of the Gunners as the title challengers also brought a sense of optimism among their fans about the change of fortunes at long last.

In the same vein, the fangirl of Arsenal was hyped about the contest against Manchester City, calling it 3-2 in favour of her favourite club. When asked about who is going to score for them, she was unsure about taking any names after hearing that Bukayo Saka wasn’t playing at the Emirates Stadium on the big day.

Arsenal brought their A game to the contest against Manchester City, with the centre back William Saliba neutralising the threat of the high-flying Erling Haaland right throughout the 90 minutes. The introduction of Gabriel Martinelli, in absence of Bukayo Saka through injury, at the halftime mark proved to be the telling difference after he scored the decisive goal in the 86th minute, to hand his team a famous 1-0 victory against the Citizens in the Premier League.
