Preview:

The Ashes series resumes with the second Test, which will be a day-night affair, set to commence at the Adelaide Oval on December 16. While the Aussies have won the opening Test and all records hinting at yet another Australia win in the second Test, it would be foolish to outrightly say the visitors have no chance. The Three Lions have won an Ashes series in Australia after losing the first Test since 1954-55 and have even lost their three of the four day-night Tests.

What's worse is that they even lost their last match in Adelaide. However, they showed glimpses of their potential as the opening Test went by and had there been some more courage shown in the first innings and by some of the other senior members in the second innings, things could well have been different.

Australia, meanwhile, would want to recreate the kind of bowling performance they produced to bowl out India for just 36 runs exactly a year ago at the same venue. However, the wrecker in chief in that match, Josh Hazlewood has been sidelined due to an injury and Jhye Richardson is likely to get a nod for this game.

Stuart Broad and James Anderson have also been named in the 12-member squad of England and it would be interesting to see who gets the chance to feature in the XI.

Analysis:

Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith are both 10.5 and 10 credit options respectively and it could be a tricky balance to try and create a balanced Fantasy side with both in the teams especially with there being stars on both sides. An assured return on investment would be to have both the keepers- Jos Buttler and Alex Carey in the XI. Both able batters with Buttler already having established himself but need to come good in this format of the game and are almost certain of being in action behind the stumps with the swinging pink-ball.

Travis Head's match-winning hundred will force a good headache to have around building a Fantasy team for this game but with Warner not in the prime of his fitness, will leaving him be a too big risk to take? Users can take a call based on their discretion. Dawid Malan should somehow be drafted into the XI, fresh from a spirited show he looked like one of the better English batters alongside skipper Joe Root.

Marnus Labuschagne, Chris Woakes and Cameron Green are the best all-round options available for this match with an all-pace four consisting of James Anderson, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Ollie Robinson. Nathan Lyon and Jack Leach are the spinning options that can be considered but expect this to be seam-friendly conditions at Adelaide.
