Bangladesh have ended their Asia Cup 2023 campaign on a high note by beating table-toppers India by five runs in the last match of Super Fours in this Asia Cup tournament. Talking about this clash, India winning the toss opted to field first as they felt that chasing under lights could be a challenging thing to do notably five key players like Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj have been rested from this clash.

Bangladesh batting first posted a decent total of 265/8 in 50 overs with the help of a brilliant 101-run partnership between Shakib Al Hasan and Towhid Hridoy, while their lower-order batters like Nasum Ahmed, Mahedi Hasan also played a vital role with the bat in the end. India fell short of the chase despite a century from Shubman Gill at the top, as the rest of the batters other than Axar Patel had failed to score runs for their side.
