India have registered back-to-back victories against Pakistan and Sri Lanka in consecutive days of Asia Cup 2023 to qualify for the final of the tournament. Talking about this contest, India winning the toss opted to bat first and posted a total of 213 runs with the help of fifty from skipper Rohit Sharma, and a decent 63-run partnership for fourth wicket between KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan.

Dunith Wellalage was the star player for his team as he picked a five-wicket haul (5/40) and also scored an unbeaten 42 runs while batting at number 8 position. Along with that 20-year-old youngster, Charith Asalanka was also seen picking a four-wicket haul (4/18) with the ball but all their effort ended in vain as they lost to India by a margin of 41 runs.
