India star bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who made his comeback in the ODI squad after more than a year against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023, will reportedly not be available for India's next match. According to a report by Dainik Jagran, the 29-year-old pacer flew to Mumbai on September 3, Sunday.

The report further states that the cricketer is fit but will be missing his side's second clash in the tournament for the birth of his first child. However, Bumrah will be available for India's Super 4 matches. 


Bumrah, who was out of action for more than a year made his comeback in the Indian squad during India's tour of Ireland. The ace bowler, who is often regarded as one of the finest bowlers of the generation didn't play competitive cricket since September 2022 due to stress fracture in lower back. The cricketer underwent a surgery in April 2023 and was undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA in Bengaluru before receiving national call.

After a successful campaign in Ireland, the Ahmedabad-born cricketer got a call for Asia Cup 2023 and travelled to Sri Lanka with the team. In India's first match of the tournament, Bumrah played a short inning o 14 balls and contributed 16 runs to his side's total score of 266 runs.
