The Indian men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty stormed into the finale of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, the Republic of China. The Sat-Chi pair defeated World Champions Aaron Chia & Soh Wooi Yik and registered their second win over the Indonesian duo by 21-17, 21-12 in a match that lasted for 45 minutes.

They will take on South Korea’s Kim Won-ho and Choi Solgyu in the gold medal match. With this, the world number three ranked duo ended India's 41-year men's doubles medal drought at the Asiad.
In their summit clash, they will clash against Korea's Choi Sol Gyu and Kim Won Ho on October 7, Saturday. The two displayed great coordination on the court moving forth and back seamlessly with Satwik showing superp defence and Chirag complementing him. The Sat-Chi duo were earlier a part of the Indian team that had put remarkable display of skills to clinch the silver medal.
