Indian star squash player Saurav Ghosal cruised past his Hong Kong opponent to enter the final of the men’s singles on Wednesday, October 4. The 37-year-old Ghosal, who has been in his prime form at the ongoing Asian Games 2023, took down Hong Kong’s Lch, Henry 3-0 in the semifinals.

Ghosal crushed his opponent 11-2, 11-1, 11-6 in the semifinal to register a dominant win. It is to be noted that the 37-year-old has won singles medal at five consecutive Asian Games now but has never cinched a gold. The veteran won a bronze at 2006 Doha Asian Games, 2010 Guangzhou Games and 2018 Jakarta Games, with a silver coming in 2014 Incheon Asian Games.

The Indian will play his second consecutive Asian Games finale on October 5 as he takes on Malaysia’s NG Eain Yow.
