After completing his loan spell with Chelsea, Jadon Sancho, the English midfielder, has made his official return to Manchester United, but his career trajectory at the club is currently quite uncertain. While Chelsea had an obligation to buy the 25-year-old after completion of the loan deal with Manchester United, there was a clause of paying just £5 million penalty, to cancel it altogether, which the London-based club opted to do after he didn’t agree to reduce his £300,000-per-week wages.
Manchester United are looking to sell Jadon Sancho, to raise funds to bolster their squad under manager Ruben Amorim after a tough Premier League season, which saw them finish in 15th place in the standings. While Matheus Cunha of Wolves has reached an agreement worth £62.5 million to join Manchester United, the Red Devils are still looking to buy a few more players to add depth to their squad, sending an official offer to Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo just a day ago.
Aston Villa are looking to give an opportunity to Jadon Sancho on the left-side of attack
Amidst all this, a report published in Teamtalk has stated that Aston Villa are now interested in signing Jadon Sancho for the next season just a few days after Napoli and AC Milan were linked to him. Villa, who missed on qualifying for the UEFA Champions League (UCL) on the final matchday of the Premier League season last month, are looking to give an opportunity to Sancho on the left-side of attack, where he has had great success during his time with Borussia Dortmund.
This development has come just after Aston Villa had employed Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United in the same position, which is quite a coincidence since these two players are good friends off the field. Moreover, Napoli are looking to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, this summer, and they have also considered the likes of Alejandro Garnacho, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Jesus Rodriguez as potential replacements apart from Jadon Sancho.
As far as AC Milan are concerned, they could move in for Jadon Sancho if Rafael Leao decides to leave the Rossoneri this summer transfer window.
