After getting ousted from Asia Cup 2022, Rohit Sharma-led India will now play two home T20I series before they fly to Australia for the T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue will host Australia and South Africa respectively over a period of 15 days. While Aaron Finch-led Australia will play three T20Is against India, Temba Bavuma-led South Africa will play three T20Is and as many ODIs. However, the focus will be on the shortest format of the game considering there is a World Cup around the corner.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squads. Almost the same squad will fly to Australia. The first match of the three-match T20I series between India and Australia will take place on 20 September in Mohali. The caravan will then move to Nagpur for the second T20I that is to be played on 23 September. The third and final T20I will be played in Hyderabad.

Although a bunch of Australia’s frontline players like David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Starc, and Mitchell Marsh won’t be playing the bilateral series, the excitement is there. Fans want to see how the new T20 template fares for India and how Rohit Sharma rallies the troops after a forgettable Asia Cup outing. Virat Kohli will also have significant attention having regained his form. It will also be interesting to see if Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel get back on track after recovering from injuries or if will it take time.

Mohammed Shami who has not played a single T20I for India ever since the last T20 World Cup will also be back in action but is unlikely to get a game. Meanwhile, world champions Australia will also try to test their squad before they begin their title defence on home soil. So, as the two teams ready themselves to take on each other, here is where you can watch all the live action.
